On September 14, 2021, in a hybrid format, the 11th meeting of the Interstate Council for the Legal Protection of Intellectual Property (MGSIS) was held in Kishinev, the Republic of Moldova. The Republic of Tajikistan was represented online by the plenipotentiary representative of the republic in MGSIS, Director of the National Center for Patents and Information of the Ministry of Economic Development and Trade of the Republic of Tatarstan, Mr. Ismoilzoda Mirzo Haydarbek.

The meeting was also attended by representatives of the MGSIS member countries; The Republic of Armenia, Belarus, Moldova, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, the Russian Federation, Tajikistan and Uzbekistan, as well as representatives of the CIS Executive Committee and the Eurasian Patent Office (EAPO).

Within the framework of this meeting, the following reports were heard;

on the state of affairs in the states, members of the CIS, members of the MGSIS in the field of protection of intellectual property and measures to counter violations in this area for the reporting period;

on the activities of the base organization RGAIS;

on work within the framework of the Project for the industrial production of a regional patent and information product of the CIS countries (CISPATENT);

on the Interstate Program of Innovative Cooperation of the CIS Member States for the Period to 2030, approved by the Decision of the Council of CIS Heads of Government of November 6, 2020;

 on the Action Plan for the implementation of the first stage (2021-2025) of the CIS Economic Development Strategy for the period up to 2030;

on the Draft Methodological Recommendations for determining the market value (appraisal) of intellectual property objects;

on the course of consideration by the supreme bodies of the CIS of the documents submitted by MGSIS for the reporting period:

Draft Agreement on Cooperation of the CIS Member States on the Protection of Rights to Objects of Copyright and Related Rights in Information and Telecommunication Networks;

Draft Agreement on Cooperation of the CIS Member States to Prevent and Suppress the Use of False Trademarks and Geographical Indications.

At the end of the meeting, by unanimous decision of the countries of the MGSIS members, the Russian Federation was elected the presiding party for the next reporting period in the person of the Head of Rospatent, respected Mr. Ivliev Grigory Petrovich.
