On June 29 this year, a video seminar was held on the theme “Current Trends and Problems of the Commercialization of Intellectual Property in the Countries of the Caucasus, Central Asia and Eastern Europe” organized by the World Intellectual Property Organization and the Eurasian Patent Organization.
The video seminar was attended by representatives of several patent offices and leaders of technology parks, as well as scientific organizations of the countries of the Caucasus, Central Asia and Eastern Europe.
During the event, experts made presentations on relevant topics: “WIPO’s Activities in the Field of Commercialization of Intellectual Property”, “Current Trends in Cooperation with Technoparks as Exemplified by the Skolkovo Innovation Center and the Center for Innovation and Business of Tallinn University of Technology” and “EAPO Activities”.
At the conclusion of the video seminar, a round table was held with the participation of representatives of patent offices, scientific organizations and technology parks, in which representatives of the Republic of Tajikistan also spoke. Deputy Director of the Patent Office B.U. Boev and Bahromi Tolib, Coordinator of the Center for Transfer of Education Technologies and Entrepreneurship of the Technological University of Tajikistan, who expressing their gratitude to the organizers, provided brief information on the work of the Patent Office and the Center for Technology Transfer in the direction of IP commercialization, also expressed proposals for close cooperation between the relevant authorities of the region’s states, exchange of experience and information in the development of the field of IP commercialization.
