On the initiative of the State patents and technical library of the State institution “National center for patents and information ” of the Ministry of economic development and trade of the Republic of Tajikistan, in honor of the “Book day” – on September 4, the Republican competition “Librarian, library and private library of the year of the Republic of Tajikistan” for 2019-2020 was held.
The main objectives of the competition are: raising the status and importance of the book, the efficiency and quality of the work of the librarian and libraries in society, promoting the library industry, determining the activities of libraries and their employees, encouraging librarians and libraries, as well as attracting the population of the country to reading books. The competition began in early March, and the results were announced on August 20, 2020.
The participants of the competition were determined by the decision of the Jury on the basis of the submitted documents.
63 applications were submitted to the Organizing committee. The competition consisted of 3 nominations: “Library of the year” – 23 applications, “Librarian of the year” – 33 applications and “Private library” – 7 applications.
By the decision of the Competition Jury in these nominations, the participants were awarded prizes and diplomas.
