On April 26 this year in the hall of the State Institution “National Center for Patents and Information” of the Ministry of Economic Development and Trade of the Republic of Tajikistan took place a solemn event dedicated to the International Intellectual Property Day under the slogan “Intellectual property and youth: innovations for a better future”, which is annually celebrated around the world, with the participation of the Deputy Minister of Economic Development and Trade of the Republic of Tajikistan A.S. Abdurahmonzoda, the Director of the State Institution “National Center for Patents and Information” of the Ministry of Economic Development and Trade of the Republic of Tajikistan, representatives of the ministries of culture, agriculture, education and science, as well as a representative of the Academy of Sciences of Tajikistan, the Executive Committee of the People’s Democratic Party of Tajikistan in the Shohmansur district, employees of the institution, inventors and manufacturers.
The ceremony was opened by the Deputy Minister of Economic Development and Trade of the Republic of Tajikistan Mr. Abdurahmonzoda A. and congratulated the participants of the event on the occasion of the International Intellectual Property Day.
Abdurahmonzoda A. also noted that the State Institution “National Center for Patents and Information ” of the Ministry of Economic Development and Trade of the Republic of Tajikistan as an authorized state body since its inception to implement the priorities of state policy in the field of intellectual property, especially the protection of state interests in the field of industrial property, coordination, state support, stimulation, public awareness and developing the industry, implemented a number of important projects, achieving significant results.
To execute the instructions of the Founder of Peace and Unity – the Leader of the Nation, the President of the Republic of Tajikistan His excellency Emomali Rahmon and taking into account that the Republic of Tajikistan is entering a new stage of development, i.e. the period of rapid industrialization of the country, the demand and attention to the areas of science, education, innovation, invention, particular application of inventions in production is increasing day by day.
It is a matter of pride that today the achievements of our inventors are recognized at the international level, as well as received high awards.
In his speech, Ismoilzoda M., informing about the situation in the field of intellectual property in the country, said that the Republic of Tajikistan focuses on developing the country’s economy in the field of intellectual property and provides support and legal protection to inventors, innovators and other creative people in the country and abroad.
The Republic of Tajikistan has joined a number of international and regional agreements, treaties and conventions in the field of intellectual property protection and has signed Memorandums of Understanding with the patent offices of the countries of the world in order to further develop cooperation.
Thanks to the opportunities created by the state independence and effective measures taken by the President of the Republic of Tajikistan, the Leader of the Nation, His excellency Emomali Rahmon, the interest of youth in studying sciences and inventions is increasing year by year .
Since 1993 up to now, for support and encourage inventors, rationalizers, scientists and creators, the institution has conducted National contest “The best inventor of the Republic of Tajikistan” and 22 inventors of the Republic of Tajikistan have been awarded with the World Intellectual Property Organization gold medal, 14 people have been awarded with the Eurasian Patent Organization gold medal of V.I.Blinnikov (“For contribution on invention and patenting”).
State Institution “National Center for Patents and Information ” of the Ministry of Economic Development and Trade of the Republic of Tajikistan implements the government policy, further development of the national system of industrial property, mechanisms of realization of intellectual capital, supporting infrastructure, incentives, legal framework and innovation processes.
The event was also attended by representatives of ministries and agencies of the country, who expressed their congratulations to employees in the field of intellectual property of the country and those gathered.
At the end of the event, the Office awarded a number of national inventors and entrepreneurs for their significant contribution to the development of the country’s inventive and manufacturing industries.
