On August 30, 2022, the 12th meeting of the Interstate Council on the Protection and Legal Protection of Intellectual Property was held virtually with the participation of the member states of the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS).
The leaders of the Patent Offices of the Russian Federation, the Republic of Tajikistan, the Republic of Armenia, the Republic of Belarus, the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Republic of Kyrgyzstan, the Republic of Uzbekistan, as well as the Executive Committee of the CIS, the Eurasian Patent Office and the Eurasian Economic Commission took part in the meeting.
Heads of the Patent Offices presented reports on the state of intellectual property, including the protection of intellectual property and measures to prevent intellectual property violations based on the relevant clauses of the CIS Economic Development Strategy.
The Director of the State Institution “National Center for Patents and Information” of the Ministry of Economic Development and Trade of the Republic of Tajikistan Mr Mirzo Ismoilzoda participated in this event and noted that during the reporting period in the Republic of Tajikistan specific works on improving the system of protection of intellectual property based on the The National Strategy plan for the development of intellectual property in the Republic of Tajikistan for the period up to 2030 has been completed.
