On July 6, 2023, the 64th session of the Assembly of the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) began at the headquarters of the World Intellectual Property Organization in Geneva, Swiss Confederation.
The heads of the patent offices of the WIPO member countries participate in the Assembly in online and offline formats and the Tajik delegation under the direction of the Director of the State Institution “National Center for Patents and Information” of the Ministry of Economic Development and Trade of the Republic of Tajikistan Mr. Mirzo Ismoilzoda directly participates in this Assembly.
In the Assembly, the director of the patent office told about the current situation of intellectual property in the Republic of Tajikistan and noted that this year the establishment of the national system of intellectual property is celebrated in the Republic of Tajikistan. At the same time, in the period of State Independence, significant results were achieved, that is, a complete system of intellectual property was formed and is operating successfully.
It was noted that under the wise policy of the Founder of Peace and National Unity – Leader of the Nation, the President of the Republic of Tajikistan His excellency Emomali Rahmon, the field of intellectual property has reached a new level and in this regard, new strategic objectives for the development of intellectual property in the Republic of Tajikistan have been identified and are being implemented for the period up to 2030.
