On September 9, 2024, the 45th regular meeting of the of the Eurasian Patent Organization (TPAO) Administrative Council was held at the headquarters of the EAPO in Moscow, Russian Federation. The meeting was attended by the First Deputy Minister of Economic Development and Trade of the Republic of Tajikistan Mr. Ashurboy Solehzoda Abduvohid and the Director of the State Institution “National Center for Patents and Information” of the Ministry of Economic Development and Trade of the Republic of Tajikistan Mr. Mirzo Ismoilzoda Khaidarbek.
The meeting of the Council discussed issues of reviewing the draft budget of the EAPO for 2025, amending the Regulation on fees of the EAPO for legally significant actions, amending the patent instructions to the Eurasian Patent Convention (EAPC) and other relevant issues.
Within the framework of the Administrative Council, a ceremony was held to celebrate the 30th anniversary of the signing of the EAPC, in which Mr. A. Solehzoda delivered a congratulatory speech dedicated to this historic day of the organization. At the same time, the director of the department, Mr. M. Ismoilzoda, presented the signs of the State Institution NCPI to representatives of Tajikistan working in the Eurasian Patent Office.
A Memorandum of Understanding on the Eurasian Patent Accelerated Prosecution Program was also signed between the Eurasian Patent Office of Eurasian Patent Organization, the Federal Service for Intellectual Property of the Russian Federation, the National Intellectual Property Center of the Republic of Belarus, the Intellectual Property Agency of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the State Institution “National Center for Patents and Information” of the Ministry of Economic Development and Trade of the Republic of Tajikistan.
