On October 4, 2024, the Regional Ceremony of the Publication of the Global Innovation Index Report for 2024 for Asian countries was held in Astana, Republic of Kazakhstan.
The event was attended by high-ranking representatives of the region, as well as representatives of the World Intellectual Property Organization.
From the Republic of Tajikistan in this event participated Mr. Mirzo Ismoilzoda – Director of the State Institution “National Center for Patents and Information” of the Ministry of Economic Development and Trade of the Republic of Tajikistan who spoke about the current situation of innovation activities in the republic, plans and immediate tasks for the development of the industry in the country.
Mr. Ismoilzoda noted that the President of the Republic of Tajikistan, His excellency Emomali Rahmon, pays special attention to the field of innovation in the country, including the formation of an effective innovation system aimed at increasing the technological level and competitiveness of production, bringing innovative products to the domestic and foreign markets, import substitution, creating a digital infrastructure, electronic government and commerce which contribute to the achievement of national strategic goals.
At the same time, as part of the ceremony, a bilateral meeting was held between the director of the Patent Office Mr. Mirzo Ismoilzoda and the head of the intellectual property structure of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
