Today, the State Institution “National Center for Patents and Information” of the Ministry of Economic Development and Trade of the Republic of Tajikistan held a ceremonial meeting dedicated to National Flag Day of the Republic of Tajikistan, attended by the management and staff of the Office.
The National Anthem of the Republic of Tajikistan began the event, after the Director of the Office, Mirzo Ismoilzoda, congratulated those present on this historic and significant day.
It was noted that the most meaningful and realistic words regarding the special status and place of the National Flag came from the Founder of Peace and National Unity – Leader of the Nation, President of the Republic of Tajikistan His Excellency Emomali Rahmon who emphasized: “We are proud of the Flag of our independent state, and it is sacred to every patriot of our country. The National Flag is an expression of the existence of the sovereign Tajik nation, with all its historical, cultural, and legal richness and identity. Wearing the flag as a badge or hanging it life-size in the corner of a home or business is the best expression of love for the Motherland, the state, and the people.”
The national flag of the Republic of Tajikistan was adopted on November 24, 1992, after the country gained independence. It consists of three colors: red, white, green, and a seven-striped crown.
The national flag is a symbol of the state independence of the Republic of Tajikistan and the friendship and brotherhood of all its peoples. This national symbol mobilizes citizens for a peaceful and tranquil life, the pursuit of a dignified life, comprehensive development and prosperity, sovereignty and statehood.
