On January 21 of this year, the second session of the Majlisi Namoyandagon Majlisi Oli of the Republic of Tajikistan of the seventh convocation was held.

Along with other draft laws of the Republic of Tajikistan, the session considered the draft Law of the Republic of Tajikistan “On Amendments and Additions to the Law of the Republic of Tajikistan “On State Symbols of the Republic of Tajikistan.”

A draft Law of the Republic of Tajikistan “On Amendments and Additions to the Law of the Republic of Tajikistan “On State Symbols of the Republic of Tajikistan” has been submitted and developed to implement Part 6 of Article 8 of the Law of the Republic of Tajikistan “On Trademarks and Service Marks.” It was also noted that by Decree of the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan dated December 25, 2025, No. 697, “The Procedure and Conditions for Including the Official Name, Flag, State Emblem of the Republic of Tajikistan and other State Symbols as Unprotected Elements in a Trademarks”.

Furthermore, in the Republic of Tajikistan, the inclusion of the official name of the country, the flag, the coat of arms and other state symbols in trademarks without granting legal protection will be carried out in accordance with this procedure.

Deputies of the Majlisi Namoyandagon of the Majlisi Oli of the Republic of Tajikistan unanimously supported the adoption of the draft Law of the Republic of Tajikistan “On Amendments and Additions to the Law of the Republic of Tajikistan “On State Symbols of the Republic of Tajikistan”.
