From June 3 to 6, 2026, a delegation of the Republic of Tajikistan, led by Abdurahmon Abdurahmonzoda Safarali, Minister of Economic Development and Trade of the Republic of Tajikistan, participated in the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum (SPIEF – 2026).
Mirzo Ismoilzoda Haidarbek, Director of the State Institution “National Center for Patents and Information” of the Ministry of Economic Development and Trade, also participated in the forum.
The delegation of the Republic of Tajikistan participated in the official opening ceremony, accompanying events, an international exhibition of goods and products, and the plenary session of the forum.
The event was attended by over 20,000 participants from government sectors, investors, youth representatives, athletes, representatives of financial institutions, entrepreneurs and manufacturers, as well as scientists and researchers from 130 countries.
The forum included a session on intellectual property and artificial intelligence, attended by the Director of the Patent Office, Mirzo. Ismoilzoda. At the same time, the Minister of Economic Development and Trade, A. Abdurahmonzoda and the Director of the Office, M. Ismoilzoda. met with the Head of the Federal Service for Intellectual Property of the Russian Federation (Rospatent), Yuri Zubov Sergeevich to discuss strengthening and expanding bilateral cooperation.
On June 5, 2026, the delegation of the Republic of Tajikistan also participated in the plenary session of the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum which was attended and addressed by Russian Federation President Vladimir Putin Vladimirovich.
