On 17–18 June of the current year, specialists from the Eurasian Patent Office of the Eurasian Patent Organization conducted consultations and provided guidance on patenting and support for inventors at the State Institution “National Center for Patents and Information” of the Ministry of Economic Development and Trade of the Republic of Tajikistan. The event was organized for the Office’s experts, particularly those involved in the examination of inventions in the fields of medicine, pharmaceuticals, chemistry, mechanics, physics and computer technologies, as well as for inventors and patent attorneys of the country.
The main objective of the event was to enhance the professional qualifications and awareness of the Office’s experts, inventors and patent attorneys regarding the latest developments and changes in the Eurasian patent system.
During the event, experts from the Eurasian Patent Office familiarized participants with the Eurasian patent system, the specifics of examining inventions in the fields of medicine, chemistry, pharmaceuticals, physics, mechanics and computer technologies, and also presented the EAPO Regulations on Support for Applicants from the Member States of the Eurasian Patent Organization.
At the same time, EAPO specialists of Information Technology conducted an assessment of the Patent Office’s digital system. Based on the results of the analysis, valuable recommendations and proposals were provided regarding the operation and further improvement of the system.
