What is a Trade Mark?
A Trade Mark is a “sign” used to distinguish the goods or services of one trader from those of another. It may include any of the following:
WORD, NUMBER, SOUND, SLOGAN, PACKAGING, SCENT, LETTER, SHAPE, LOGO, PICTURE
The unique shape of a bottle, a distinctive sound in an advertisement or even the smell of a scented product, may now be registered as a trade mark.
A trademark is anything that indicates source, sponsorship, affiliation or other business relationship of the goods or services.
